Third-party liability is included by law in every rental. As a guarantee, a €200 deposit is pre-authorised on your card and released within 7 days. No hull insurance policies, no hidden upsells.

Coverage required by law (Italian Legislative Decree 209/2005). Industry-standard limit, covering injury to third parties and damage to their property while sailing.
Insurer policy confirmed at check-in.
Security deposit
€200 pre-authorised
At the time of the rental we pre-authorise €200 on your card (not a charge). It is released within 7 days of return if no damage is found. We do not offer optional hull insurance policies: the deposit replaces them.

Damage and liability
In the event of an incident
For damage to the boat caused by the customer's fault, the customer is liable for the cost of repair, secured by the €200 deposit. In cases of wilful misconduct or gross negligence, the driver's full liability applies.

What is covered
Covered
- Damage to third parties (people, vessels, infrastructure)
- Standard sea rescue (within 6 miles, rental area)
- Safety briefing and onboard equipment
- Mechanical failure during normal use of the boat
- Incidents caused by sudden, unforeseeable weather conditions
Not covered
- Damage from wilful misconduct, gross negligence or improper use (excessive speed, intoxication)
- Sailing beyond 6 miles or outside the permitted area
- Overloading passengers beyond the boat's limit
- Personal belongings lost or damaged on board
- Voluntary cancellations outside the cancellation policy
- Missing fuel on return

All our boats are equipped with a complete kit for rentals within 6 miles of the coast (100N life jackets, flares, fire extinguisher, anchor, bilge pump and more).
